TALE WEDNESDAY: FLASH FICTION CHARACTERS - PART 1

Disclaimer: If there is any similarity with other stories or drama or movie out there, it might be just a coincidence. It can also be that I have been inspired to write based on the story and change them according to my creativity.

Trivia: Ryyona is pronounced as 'Riyona'

Zero and Ryyona

Birds chirped, singing joyfully on branch of saplings; bees buzzed around the flowers while butterflies rested their wings on the flower petal. The green garden was filled with a dozen of ladies casually interacting, chatting with each other occasionally accompanied by laughter of joy.  It was such a nice day with the sun shining dimly, a perfect weather for the party until a loud scream echoed throughout the whole garden. In a blink of eye, it was a complete chaos in the exquisite green landscape filled with the aromatic, sweet smell of Gardenia, Lilac and Freesia.

The party stopped when multiple round balls made from mud flown towards the guests. All the guests run frantically, escaping from the sudden uninvited situation; dispersing in all directions. From a giant tree not far away from the venue, a boy raised his arm, ready to throw a few more balls shaped up with soil plus special ingredient exclusively for a certain someone in the party; wriggling worms. His eyes scanned the place, searching for the target before his gaze trailed as he spotted her. Just like a game in baseball, he threw three balls in the direction of a woman in purple dress consecutively. One descended on her head, one hit her back and the last one struck her leg. As they broke down, the worms made their grand entrance. The woman screeched as her dress and hair got dirty. Her fingers brushed off the dirt on her hair. Another ear drum deafening scream resonated as she felt soft, slender sensation on her blond hair only to discover that they were worms.

The woman in anger mixed with disgust dashed to the big tree where the culprits resided. She fell straight into the trap. The safest place was the most dangerous spot. She took shelter, leaned against the strong and solid trunk. The young girl besides the first culprit beamed a radiant smile before releasing two little green snakes; directly landed on the woman’s hair. As they circled down her hair to her face, another shriek shook the Earth. That woman kept screaming and shook her head until the two cuties fell off from her head. She was too stunned to move while still be surrounded by the snakes.

It was still not enough to teach her a lesson. The boy opened the glass container and let them off. Another wave of attack came in the form of an army of amphibians. Their smooth skin, bulging eyes and long hind legs when jumping was enough to give nightmare. The torture that was carried out by worms, snakes and frogs was too much for that young lady as she then fainted and fell on the ground out of overwhelming mental shock. The enemy was finally being slew. Those two mischievous little devils raised their hands and slammed their palms against each other.

“Serves her right.”

They giggled. The maid with the burn on her hands noticed their presence on the tree. Grinning, their small hands waved towards the maid. Few minutes after that, footsteps can be heard rushing to the garden. A few men stopped at the entrance of the garden. They froze up upon seeing the state of the still gorgeous garden just an hour ago turned into a horror stampede scene as if there were animals attack during the party. The tables and chairs set up were in disarrayed; green grass was covered with dark brown muddy soil and there was a lady with unkempt appearance lying unconscious on the ground. He was sure that she was the latest victim of those two. The eyes of the man with shimmering golden yellow hair squinted, veins bulged out as his hand were tightly clenched; before yelling on top of his lungs.

“Zero! Ryyona!”

This time, the roar was the loudest, the angriest and the scariest out of the echoes heard by the people before. Even the birds flew away, frightened by the sound. Those two on the tree did not even bothered by the howl. They sat silently on the tree, resting; after the hard work upholding the justice. This event later on would be recorded in history of the country as the day when the devil and the fallen angel wrecked the tea party.
