CHILL SUNDAY: 20TH CENTURY GIRL

Happy Chill Sunday, everyone! I hope everyone has a good and happy day. Today, I would like to recommend a Korean movie entitled 20th Century Girl lead by Kim Yoo Jung and Byeon Woo Seok. The movie is fun; the classic first love type of story with the slight of love triangle and sacrifice troupe and conflict in friendship. You can watch this movie in Neflix or other illegal sites (?).

The best part in the movie that I love the most would be the reunion scene between the besties, Na Bo Ra (Kim Yoo Jung) and Kim Yeon Doo (Roh Yoon Seo). This is legit 60 seconds full of gold scene. I just adore this part so much and I have been repeating the scene again and again whenever I open the movie. The happiness upon watching the scene is indescribable. I just have fun and laugh during this scene.

It is the moment when Bo Ra is delightfully enjoying her ice cream when she spot a girl at the door, slightly crying. It takes her few seconds to process the fact that her friend is here in front of her and call out her name, Kim Yeon Doo. It seems that Yeon Doo has been searching for her before finally found her in the ice cream shop.

Then, Bo Ra gets up from her seat, Yeon Doo immediately opens the door and they just run towards each other and hugs. It is just too funny for me. These girls have the funniest reunion scene; it is too dramatic. They have just ignore the other customers. The last picture is the gold one for me. The other customers, the two ladies and the mother and her son are like "What is wrong with these two?". They just act as if no one else exist. Bo Ra just see Yeon Doo and vice versa.

Look at these two; crying out loud in someone else's shop with other customers as spectators. Bo Ra calling out Yeon Doo's name and Yeon Doo confesses she missed her.

Kudos to the boy, Poong Woon Ho and Baek Hyun Jin. Their reaction is ten stars rating reaction for me. Their dumbfounded, disbelief, in shock reaction is hilarious and relatable especially Hyun Jin with his open mouth. They are just sitting on their chair, not making any move and watch those two besties even when they are confuse with the whole situation. Yeon Doo is better than Bo Ra in term of collecting herself as she lets Bo Ra off first when she sees the two boys.

Bo Ra, still crying introduces Yeon Doo to the boys. The ugly crying (but cute) gets me every single time. She is still bawling when asking them to say hi to her best friend.

Woon Ho and Hyun Jin are still the same as before; still in confusion and shock. Yeon Doo still has time to fix her hair after the reunion drama. She just silently lift her hand to introduce herself.

This is literally the best scene for me. I smiled, I giggled, I laughed and I grinned widely while watching this 60 seconds scene. I love the actress that acts as Yeon Doo. She reminds me of someone that I cannot remember up til now. She has resemblance with another actress that I cannot recalled. Yoo Jung is the master of acting as always. I enjoyed the movie so much, even the ending. The tow male leads are also brilliant in acting. Try to watch this movie for those who have not watch this. To those that have watched this movie, share with me your favorite scene.
