Raised by her mother after her parents’ divorce, Arisa was separated from her siblings. Seeing her mother yearning for her absent children, Arisa believed love must be earned. Growing up, she dedicated herself, to trying to prove her worth to her mother, although her effort was forlorn. Her effort was not enough compared to her mother’s love towards her other siblings. When she became a part of Ichiro family, her belief was challenged by their acceptance of her for who she was, not for her effort or worth. They taught her that love was unconditional. As she was slowly learning to let off the idea of love she understood all this time, she was still struggled to come to term with the love they were trying to show her. The insecurities and the fear of rejection were planted deep in her bone and heart. She was confused between the warmth she had in Ichiro family and the coldness in her parents’ love for her. Although her heart was yearning to believe in Ichiro Family especially Shiki, the scar in the past was still there. Would she really be able to believe in their boundless love or would she be drown in the darkness of the past?
