NINNINGER OP

 

Now that Toqger has finally returned to their little kids self and Zett has gone back to darkness world with Grita, it's time for ninja to protect the humans. I have to admit that I really enjoyed the two episodes that have being air. Just like almost everyone said, this new series has the vibe of Shinkenger, especially the first episode + a little bit of Daigo (Kyoryuger) with the way Takaharu acts.

Today, let's talk about Ninninger opening. The song is catchy and easy to follow. I love it. Super sentai OP has never fails to impress me. I used to love red member the most like Right, Takeru and Hiromu, but Ninninger has break the red streak. The character that I like the most none other than our AoNinger, Katou 'Cloud' Yakumo. I really love his character based on the first two episodes. What about all of you? Takaharu? Nagi? Fuuka? Kasumi?

One of the things that I found interesting in the opening that is worth to be pointed out is the fact that Yakumo is 'isolated' away from others during practice. While Takaharu has Nagi as his training partner and Kasumi partners with Fuuka, it somehow feels off with the arrangement. According to the character description, Yakumo is described as COOL, not the COLD character; so there is no reason for him to practice alone. Usually the Red member will be in Yakumo place. Am I thinking too much???

Another interesting scene is the scene where all of them are sitting in the floor for their Shinobi lesson, except Yakumo (again?). He is the only one who is sitting in a higher place a.k.a on the chair compare to others. In Shinkenger, Takeru sits on a higher place than his retainers. Hmmm... Suspicious... (in Detective Conan mode). Or maybe there is nothing wrong with that.. Yakumo studied in England, so it is natural for him to sit on a chair? Huh? Forget it, I don't even know what nonsense thing I'm writing about...

Just like old days in Shinkenger, Ninninger family also eats together.

The picture below is interesting. Shipping hint, anyone?? Yakumo and Kasumi are being left alone while Takaharu, Fuuka and Nagi are running off somewhere. the two of them are not even bothered to find out where they are going. They just keep eating and ignoring everything else. If you notice, the shape of Ninshuriken of Yakumo and Kasumi are almost similar. Hmmm... Suspicious (again? Or I'm being too delusional...)

I love Last Ninja. He has a good sense of humor. Takaharu has big burden in the future as Last Ninja is entrusting him with the AkaNinger Ninshuriken.

Ninninger in serious mode and happy-and-smiling mode. Which one do you prefer more?

 

Their dojo looks almost the same as Shiba mansion in Shinkenger. It's not like I have the problem with it; it's just remind me a lot of Shinkenger, one of my favorite series. Take a look also at their casual clothes, they seem to run a lot from their Ninninger colors. Nagi does't not have yellow color on his clothes, Kasumi is not in Pink and Fuuka is not in all white. Same goes for Yakumo. Only Takaharu stays true to his Ninninger color. I hope this series will be the same as Shinkenger and Toqger where they usually wears different clothes within the series. They are not only sticking with the same outfit all of the time with the exception of the series that has organization such as Gobusters and Dekaranger which require them to wear their official uniform.

I have no problem with the storyline and future development where they are going to increase their Nintality in order to defeat the big bad boss, Kibaoni Gengetsu. The biggest PROBLEM is the shipping department. Remember, they are all cousins with the exception of Takaharu and Fuuka are siblings. I don't want to add the new member (6th member) yet in the shipping department. Unless there is identity twist just like in Shinkenger, the possibility of my OTP (Yakumo X Kasumi of course!) to be together is zero. So sad...

P/s: I love Ninninger, but I miss TOQGER soooo much... Still can't get over how excited I am on the last few episodes of the series, not to mention the ending and the future return movie...
