KOYOMI OR GATE?

Two options; only one can be chose. Which one will you choose if you can only choose one out of two? Will you choose the person that has been with you all this while and helping you in your fight (a very important person) or will you choose the person that you vowed to protect no matter what even that person is a total stranger to you?

It seems like Haruto is in a big trouble in this episode as he needs to choose between Koyomi or his teacher; not to mention in a limited time.

"Which one should I choose?????"

BTW, we have our Harumi moments in this episode. Great!

As Koyomi's condition is getting worse, Wajima calls Haruto to tells him about her. Haruto immediately returns to the shop as he worries about the love of his life, Koyomi. Koyomi is lying on the bed in pain with the painful cracking wound. Wajima notifies him about the cracking wound on Koyomi's hand.

Haruto suspects that Koyomi's lack of mana is the source of the cracking wound. So, he takes a place besides Koyomi to give her the mana that she needs. Haruto has already gives her a large amount of mana, but still; she does not recover as usual. Koyomi in fact is in pain more and more. Haruto is not just going to give up on his important person. He thinks that Koyomi just needs more mana, so he continues to give her mana, but this time; he grasps her hand and gives a 210% concentration to channel his mana to Koyomi.

Koyomi then stops him as it is not working at all. Haruto opposes that idea, however, Koyomi reminds him that he has a Gate to protect. Using all his mana to her will only disadvantages him in the fight with the Phantom. Haruto listens to Koyomi, but he seems very helpless as he can't help Koyomi at all.

I love the scene where Haruto grasps Koyomi's hand to give her more mana. Haruto just holds her hand tightly. This shows that Haruto really does not want to lose her. And the face that Haruto makes when his mana does not help Koyomi at all, the helpless face. He seems really sad. Oh, such a poor boy. If only he does not need to protect the Gate, I'm sure that he will continue to give her mana. Reaching a dead end also frustrates him so much because he can't relieves Koyomi's pain.

Hehe... Since Haruto returned to the shop at night and he is staying with Koyomi on the next day; this can only means one thing. Haruto stays up all night with Koyomi. He must stay all night to take care of Koyomi just in case her condition is getting worse. Haruto, you must really loves her. Staying all night just for Koyomi, not to mention that he holds her hand dearly. And then...

GREAT! (in sarcasm way). Trouble is coming. Wajima brings Koyomi's glass ball and shows to Haruto that Nitou and the others are chasing the boy that has taking the plane away. Koyomi tells Haruto to go, but Haruto refuses to leave her with her unstable condition. Koyomi's smile assures Haruto to protect his teacher's hope.Haruto promises her to return as soon as possible before leaving reluctantly.

So many things occured and finally Kumagai-sensei's hope is in Seiren's possession. Before she can't take further action to drive Kumagai-sensei into despair, Haruto uses the Bind ring and chains her. This is where it begins, Haruto's dilemma. He spots Cerberus and he is sure that White Wizard is nearby. Recalling the pain that Koyomi has to go through, he thinks that Fueki might know a way to save Koyomi. He is contemplating and thinking the possibilities of his decision. He decides and chooses Koyomi over his teacher. He lets of the chain. As Seiren walks to destroy the plane, Haruto calls out White Wizard that is nowhere to be found.

Thanks to Shunpei, the plane is saved. Shunpei attacks Seiren recklessly and then Nitou saves him. Seiren gets away. Haruto and Nitou both are disappointed that White Wizard is not there. Shunpei then beats some sense into them and angrily telling both of them that their action are as low as White Wizard. Using bait as a Gate just to meet White Wizard, somehow he just can't accept them.

Back in the shop, Wajima is faithfully accompanying Koyomi while looking at Haruto and Nitou destroys Seiren through the glass ball. Seeing Haruto and Nitou defeats the Phantom, Koyomi tells herself that she should be stronger too.

Overall, this episode is really great. There is not much direct Harumi moments, but I take the scene where Haruto is choosing Koyomi over the Gate as one of Harumi moments. Haruto is really in a big dilemma in this episode. He really does not know whether he should choose Koyomi or his teacher, although in the end he chose her. This is the first time Haruto breaks his vow and it is all because of Koyomi. He is a person that vowed to protect all the Gate so that no one has to go through the painful experience as him. He also vowed to protect them so that no more Phantom will be born.

Haruto is a person that has been continuously risking his life to protect a total stranger just because they are Gate. He puts himself in danger to protect strangers that he doesn't even know. But, because of Koyomi, he is willing to use the worst method to meet White Wizard so that he can asks him the way to save her. Haruto has already calculating his action if Kumagai-sensei can't overcome his despair. He will take the fight into Underworld if he has to. This is something new. He is willing to risk his life for strangers, but between his middle school teacher and Koyomi, Koyomi is his top priority. He is using his teacher and also a Gate as a bait and he is even willing to sacrifice him. His love for Koyomi is greater than his promise to protect the Gate. This episode proves it.

As for Kumagai-sensei; he is either manages to be a mage by overcome his despair, end up in despair and a new Phantom is born or Haruto saves him in time so that his underworld will not be destroyed. Actually, none of the options above should exist. Haruto just needs to destroy Seiren and ensure that he is not driven into despair so that Haruto does not need to go to his Underworld. It is something simple that Haruto has always does, but with Koyomi is in the picture; he has to think for another way.

As for Shunpei, thanks for pointing out their mistakes. Haruto and Nitou, both of their ways are wrong. I have to admit that. Haruto is wrong to use a Gate. What if he can't save Kumagai-sensei in time? What if because of his action, a Phantom is created? BUT...

Shunpei, you have to understand that up until now, Koyomi holds a special piece of his heart. Koyomi is someone important to Haruto, a person that has been with him since the first day he became a wizard. So, it is normal and sometimes even when you can't digest the illogical idea where Haruto uses a Gate as a bait, you have to accept that it is maybe a bit unusual but when it comes to your special person, even the illogical things turn to be logic. That is why Haruto uses the worst method that he has in order to save Koyomi.

BTW, the combination between the Plamonsters are very cute. I love it.

That's all for now. Have a good day.
