“Right!”
Voices calling for him can be
heard as soon as the door opened. He stunned after taken a step. At the left
corner of the room, Tokatti, Mio, Hikari and Kagura were waving their hands,
calling for him. Those two girls sat opposite of the two boys. Startled, he
stayed still. His eyes were wide opened, his legs failed to move and his
breathe became uneven. Even his mind was as blank as white paper. Unable to
believe it, Right wanted to rub his eyes and slapped his cheeks. It must be a
dream was all he can think of. Mixed emotions were running high in his heart
upon seeing them.
“Right! What are you doing? Hurry
up and come here!” Mio called him with a smile.
“We have your favorite lunch
boxes here.” Tokatti added.
He saw the table was full with
lunch boxes and drinks. He stood still; just watching them conversing and
laughing happily.
“Right!”
Hearing his name being called
once more gave him courage to face them. Bracing himself, he took a big step
towards them. His footstep was dead after a leap. Tokatti, Mio, Hikari and
Kagura; they faded away. Focusing on the corner, his eyes were looking straight
without blinking; searching for their trace.
A pat on the shoulder was what
pulled him back into reality. Slowly, he turned around and saw Akira. He was so
into his daydream up to the point he didn’t realize that Akira had entered the
room.
“What’s wrong?” Akira asked,
concerned.
His lips curved upwards forming a
smile.
“It’s nothing. I’m just thinking
how many boxes I should eat for lunch today?” He replied almost immediately.
Both of them burst in laughter.
“Typical Right.” Akira
thought by himself.
For a moment, he was worried when
he saw Right stood still and kept looking on the left side. His intuition told
him something was wrong with Right. It was a good thing that what he saw and
thought was only his imagination.
“Let’s go to eat.” Right usual cheerful
demeanor returned.
Right and Akira sat on the right
corner while waiting for lunch boxes from Wagon.
Glancing the left side, there
were no traces on them. They were no longer there. Tokatti, Mio, Hikari and
Kagura had disappeared. No, they didn’t disappear; they didn’t exist in the
first place. They were never there. They were just imagination; his
imagination.
Note: This is an AU for Toqger set after episode 45 where Right continued to be the one and only adult and the other four returned to their home. Two years passed and Right still living in the train with Akira, Wagon ,Conductor and Ticket. Events in Episode 46 and onward didn't happen.
