NO MORE HIDE AND SEEK

Secrets are supposed to be kept safely, but that are also secrets that should be revealed; depending on the situations and what are the secret is all about. For sure, this episode reveals the secrets that the viewers are already know but the characters are still be kept in the dark.

Haruto returns to the shop with a broken heart a very sad face after passed out from the previous battle. He somehow seems lifeless and currently mourning over someone's death with his sour face like that. He doesn't even responded to Shunpei's report that they have found the gate. Only when Wajima asks him about Koyomi, he lifts his head and tells them that Fueki took her. Of course they are shocked to hear that especially Wajima who is almost faint because of the bad news. Nitou, who has grudge towards Fueki for forcefully taking Yuzuru feels angrier as Fueki now even targeting Koyomi. However, Haruto assures them that Koyomi is fine. When Nitou unsatisfied with Haruto's confidence on Koyomi's safety, Haruto drops a larger bomb than before by telling them the truth of the relationship between Fueki and Koyomi.

This is what I called as no more hide and seek. Haruto no longer has to burden himself alone with the fact that Koyomi is Fueki's daughter. Everyone of course is super shocked except for our precious gate, Yamamoto who is busy with the phone, trying hard to call his beloved pregnant wife. Nitou keeps with his doubt on White Wizard and tells Haruto not to let Koyomi be with Fueki. Haruto in a desperate and unstable emotion emphasizes that no matter how much he wants Koyomi to be with them, it is impossible as there is nothing that they can do to help Koyomi's condition to be better. Haruto asks them to concentrate on the mission to protect the Gate which somehow shock Mayu for a reason.

Koyomi, as soon as wakes up immediately calls out for Haruto. I love the fact that the first word that she said when she wakes up is Haruto, contradict to  Haruto who calls out her name as the last word before he passed out in the last episode. Even they are contradict, but it is fair and square. 1 point for Haruto and 1 point for Koyomi for their concern toward each other and 1 point for Harumi.

Koyomi then realizes that she is in a strange place with  the magic circle on the floor. The cracking wound gives her trouble when she starts to feel the pain again. TING! Like magic, White Wizard suddenly appears in front of Koyomi asking her about the pain. As he takes her hand to examines the wound, Koyomi harshly takes her hand away from him. Sorry, White Wizard. Only Haruto is allowed to do that. Koyomi asks him about Haruto as she is still worried about him. White Wizard tells her that he is safe and sound. He also tells her that she is his HOPE before leaving the confused Koyomi in the magical space that he created.

Haruto and Mayu are assigned to get Yamamoto's hope, his pregnant wife but she is not in their house. Mayu expresses her amazement towards Haruto as he is very strong despite his worry about Koyomi. Haruto confesses to her that he is actually super worry about her, but in order not to let her worry more about him, he decides to stay strong and continues his job as a wizard. Being a wizard also important for him for the sake of the people that he truly love and important to him.

The almost crying Mayu apologizes to Haruto as she is only selfishly thinking about her matters unlike Haruto who works hard to protect the Gate by trying to steal his Infinity Ring. She recalls the scene with White Wizard. For Mayu to be provided with a more powerful ring to defeat Medusa, Mayu needed to take the ring for Haruto in exchange for the new ring. The kind Haruto just gives up his powerful ring and gives it to Mayu as he believes in what Fueki said on how the ring is dangerous for him. Furthermore, Mayu has no reason to feel guilty as she became a mage solely to defeat Medusa, unlike Haruto who vowed to protect every Gate since the beginning.

This scene really makes me cry. Even with the Holy Ring, Medusa is still alive. Mayu is not on par with her. She is stronger. Before she can gives Mayu the final blow, she is stabbed by...


her MOST TRUSTWORTHY phantom ever a.k.a the leader of all phantom, Wiseman. She almost stops breathing when she finds out that Wiseman is the one who stabbed her. She thought that she will forever to be with Wiseman only to found out that she is being used by Wiseman because of her ability to find Gate. He then reveals himself as Fueki and henshin into White Wizard. Since the fourth Wizard has been born, Medusa is no longer needed by him, thus he kills her before she kills his precious Wizard. It is heartbreaking to see Medusa cries because of Wiseman's betrayal. Although Medusa is a really bad phantom, but her loyalty is something that amazed me. She continuously searching for the Gate for the SAKE of Wiseman. It has always been that way. Either to Phoenix or Gremlin, she always tells them that she is doing all of this for the SAKE of Wiseman. Not even once she thinks to do things by her own wish like Phoenix and Gremlin. Subete wo Wiseman no tameni. But in the end, for the sake of Wiseman, she ends up being betrayed and dead.

Well, Haruto stops keeping secret on Koyomi's family and Fueki reveals to everyone that White Wizard and Wiseman are the same person. No more hide and seek. Because eventually everything will be revealed such as the story behind Koyomi, Philosopher stone and also the Sabbath. There are already theory and speculation on White Wizard and Wiseman are the same person, however the characters in the story don't know that like the fact that Koyomi is Fueki's daughter. Only Haruto knew that Koyomi is Fueki's daughter. The fact that Wiseman and White Wizard are actually Fueki, viewers see that will come to surface, but Haruto and the others don't know that, so even for the viewers they are not playing hide and seek, but for the characters in the series, they are playing hide and seek. They keep the secret and they reveal the secret.
